Slim family owns majority of America Movil

Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 13 - America Movil, SAB de CV investors led by Grupo Financiero Inbursa, SAB de CV reported a 46.5% stake in a schedule 13D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The investors bought 29,860,000 L shares of America Movil between June 18 and July 25 at prices from $2.37 to $2.72 each, the filing stated.

Grupo Financiero Inbursa, SAB de CV is controlled by chairman emeritus Carlos Slim Helu, chairman and executive committee member Patrick Slim Domit and the Slim families.

Based in Mexico City, America Movil provides wireless and fixed communications services in Latin America.
