American Century High-Yield Fund promotes Gavin Fleischman to manager

San Luis Obispo, Calif., Feb. 20 – American Century Investment Trust announced that Gavin Fleischman is now a portfolio manager of the High-Yield Fund, according to a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Fleischman has been participating in management of the fund since 2008 as a corporate analyst and was promoted to portfolio manager this year.

Kevin Akioka and G. David MacEwen are the other two portfolio managers for the fund, according to the fund’s July 28, 2014 summary prospectus.

The fund seeks high current income with capital appreciation as a secondary objective by investing in high-yield corporate bonds and other debt securities, with an emphasis on securities rated below investment grade.

Kansas City, Mo.-based American Century Investment Management, Inc. is the investment adviser.
