New York, April 4 - Ameren Energy Generating Co., a subsidiary of Ameren Corp., priced $300 million of 10-year senior notes in a private offering.
The 7% notes are set to close on April 9, according to a statement released by the company Friday.
Proceeds from the sale will be used to repay $298 million in outstanding short-term debt, as well as other corporate requirements and general corporate purposes.
The notes were sold under Rule 144A.
Based in St. Louis, Ameren is an electric and natural gas provider to customers in Missouri and Illinois.
