Three hhgregg debtors post operating results for month ended Sept. 30

Pittsburgh, Nov. 1 – hhgregg, Inc. reported zero operating income, net sales and net income for September, the same as in August, according to its monthly operating report filed Thursday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

In addition, the company had no cash in September or August.

The Gregg Appliances Inc. debtor saw a $546,000 operating loss for September on zero net sales. The operating loss for August was $60,000, also on zero net sales.

Gregg Appliances posted $977,000 of September net income, improving from $120,000 of August net income.

Also, Gregg Appliances listed $13.62 million of cash as of Sept. 30, up from $12.41 million at the end of August.

Meanwhile, the HHG Distributing LLC debtor also showed no operating income, net income, sales or cash for September or August.

hhgregg is an Indianapolis-based specialty retailer of consumer electronics and home appliances. The company filed for bankruptcy on March 6, 2017 in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Indiana under Chapter 11 case number 17-01302.
