New Issue: Ameren Illinois prices $300 million 3.25% mortgage bonds due 2050 at 98 bps spread

Tupelo, Miss., Nov. 18 – Ameren Illinois Co. sold $300 million of 3.25% first mortgage bonds due March 15, 2050 (A1/A) at a spread of Treasuries plus 98 basis points on Monday, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The bonds priced at 99.506 to yield 3.276%.

BNY Mellon Capital Markets LLC, Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC, Mizuho Securities USA Inc., Fifth Third Securities Inc. and PNC Capital Markets LLC were the lead managers.

Proceeds will be used to repay short-term debt.

Ameren Illinois is a subsidiary of St. Louis-based electric and natural gas company Ameren Corp.
