AbbVie to redeem €539 million of 0.5% notes due 2021 on May 1

Concord, N.H., April 20 – AbbVie Inc. plans to redeem all of its 0.5% senior notes due 2021 (ISINs: XS2117754247/XS2117754163/XS2125913603) on May 1, according to a redemption notice.

The €539,018,000 of notes will be redeemed at par plus accrued and unpaid interest.

Notes must be surrendered to Elavon Financial Services DAC, U.K. Branch as trustee at 125 Old Broad Street, London EC2N 1AR, in the United Kingdom.

According to the April 16 redemption notice, holders who have not established an exemption will receive payments subject to U.S. federal backup withholding of 24% of the redemption payments made. To establish an exemption, holders should submit a completed and signed Internal Revenue Service Form W-9 when surrendering their notes for payment.
