RiskMetrics advises EDS shareholders to vote in favor of HP merger

Charlotte, N.C., July 11 - RiskMetrics Group/ISS recommended that Electronic Data Systems Corp. stockholders vote to approve the company's merger with Hewlett-Packard Co. on July 31.

In May it was reported that HP entered into a definitive agreement to purchase EDS, a Plano, Texas, technology services company, for $25 per share, or about $13.9 billion.

HP is a Palo Alto, Calif., computer, printing and imaging technology company.
