Heritage Home gets exclusivity extension to negotiate, finalize plan

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, Feb. 12 – Heritage Home Group LLC obtained a second extension of its exclusive periods for filing and soliciting votes on a Chapter 11 plan, according to an order filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Specifically, Heritage Home’s exclusive filing period was extended through April 25 from Jan. 25 and the solicitation period through July 24 from April 25.

The company said it has focused much of its time, energy and resources in the early stages of its Chapter 11 cases on transitioning its business into Chapter 11 and conducting a successful sale process.

“The debtors believe that, in light of the progress that they have made thus far and their demonstrated efforts to work cooperatively with their stakeholders, it is reasonable and appropriate that the debtors be granted the modest extension of time requested...to negotiate and finalize a Chapter 11 plan,” the motion said.

High Point, N.C.-based Heritage Home Group is a home furnishings manufacturer and retailer. The company filed bankruptcy on July 29, 2018 under Chapter 11 case number 18-11736.
