Moody’s rates Amcor, notes Baa2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned a Baa2 issuer rating to Amcor plc, which is the holding company for the Amcor group.

Moody's has also affirmed Amcor Ltd.'s Baa2 issuer and senior unsecured ratings.

The agency also assigned Baa2 ratings to the 6.8% senior notes due 2019, 4.5% senior notes due 2021, and the 3.1% senior notes 2026 issued by Bemis Co., Inc., and to the 3.625% senior notes due 2026, and 4.5% senior notes due 2028 issued by Amcor Finance (USA), Inc.

These notes were all issued under the exchange offer conducted by Amcor Finance and Bemis.

Moody's withdrwe the senior unsecured ratings on the bonds tendered under the exchange offer.

The outlook is stable.

“Amcor's Baa2 issuer rating primarily reflects its globally diversified operations, strong market positions, and strategic customer relationships with a number of on-site and near-site facilities,” the agency said in a news release.
