Amcol International files $200 million stock, preferreds, debt shelf

Knoxville, Tenn., Sept. 9 - Amcol International Corp. filed a $200 million shelf registration in an S-3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers common stock, preferred stock, debt securities, warrants, stock purchase contracts, stock purchase units and depository shares.

The securities may be structured as convertibles.

Proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes.

Amcol is a diversified company based in Arlington Heights, Ill.
