Heartland Publications posts $19,943 net loss for March; sales up

Pittsburgh, April 21 - Heartland Publications, LLC reported a $19,943 net loss for March on $4.41 million in revenues, according to its monthly operating report filed Tuesday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.
The figures showed improvement over the $42.59 million net loss posted for February on $3.79 million in revenues.
The company had $4.85 million in cash and cash equivalents at March 31, up from $4.11 million at Feb. 28.
Heartland, a Clinton, Conn.-based newspaper operator, filed for bankruptcy on Dec. 21. Its Chapter 11 case number is 09-14459.
