AMC Entertainment to redeem 8¾% notes on June 1 at 104.375

Madison, Wis., April 22 - AMC Entertainment Inc. gave notice that it plans to redeem any and all of its outstanding 8¾% senior notes due 2019 on June 1.

The notes will be redeemed at a redemption price of 104.375 together with accrued interest to the redemption date, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The total amount of 8¾% notes outstanding as of Tuesday was $136,036,000.

As previously reported, in February the company completed a cash tender offer for the 8¾% notes after taking in tenders for $463,964,000, or 77.33%, of the $600 million original principal amount.

The movie exhibitor is based in Leawood, Kan.
