HealthSouth gets temporary restraining order preventing acceleration of notes

By Jeff Pines

Washington, March 12 - HealthSouth Corp. said the Circuit Court of Jefferson County, Ala., has given it a temporary restraining order preventing the acceleration of its outstanding notes.

The Birmingham, Ala.-based company was not able to provide more details before press time.

Some of the company's noteholders were seeking to accelerate HealthSouth's notes, which the company believes would "cause substantial harm to its enterprise value and all the stakeholders," it said in a press release.
