Hawaii County, Hawaii, organizes $97.23 million sale of G.O. bonds

New York, Jan. 24 - Hawaii County, Hawaii, plans to price $97,225,000 of series 2013 general obligation bonds, according to a preliminary official statement.

The offering includes $59,525,000 of series 2013A bonds, $20,215,000 of series 2013B bonds and $17,485,000 of series 2013C bonds.

The bonds (Aa2/AA-/AA-) will be sold through Bank of America Merrill Lynch.

The 2013A bonds are due 2013 to 2032, and the 2013B bonds are due 2014 to 2023. The 2013C bonds are due 2015 to 2024.

Proceeds will be used to repay bond anticipation notes and refund existing G.O. debt.
