Fitch rates Hawaii G.O. bonds AA

Fitch Ratings said it assigned an AA rating to the Hawaii's approximately $375 million of general obligation bonds of 2008, tax-exempt series DK; $27.2 million of G.O. refunding bonds of 2008, series DL; and $25 million of G.O. bonds of 2008, taxable series DM.

The bonds are expected to sell May 7 through negotiation.

Fitch also said it affirmed the AA rating on Hawaii's approximately $4.3 billion of outstanding G.O. bonds.

The outlook is stable.
