Harvest Natural files $300 million shelf for stock, preferreds, debt

Knoxville, Tenn., Nov. 15 - Harvest Natural Resources, Inc. filed a $300 million shelf registration in an S-3 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The registration covers debt securities, common stock, preferred stock, warrants and units, along with 686,761 common shares to be offered by selling stockholders.

The securities may be structured as convertibles.

Proceeds will be used for business purposes, including strategic acquisitions, capital expenditures, working capital, the repurchase and redemption of securities and other general corporate purposes.

Harvest Natural is a Houston independent oil and gas exploration and development company.
