Advisors' Harvest Intermediate Bond Fund targets Chinese investments
By Toni Weeks
San Diego, Dec. 7 - The Advisors' Inner Circle Fund registered a new Harvest Global-managed fund in an N-1A filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission on Friday.
The Harvest Intermediate Bond Fund will seek long-term total return through a combination of capital appreciation and current income.
Under normal market conditions, the fund will invest at least 80% of its net assets, plus any borrowings for investment purposes, in a portfolio of fixed-income securities, primarily those issued by corporations and governments, including the agencies and instrumentalities of governments in the China and Asian region.
The securities may be denominated in dollars or renminbi. The fund may also purchase dollar-denominated fixed-income securities issued by China and Hong Kong companies in over-the-counter markets through major financial institutions. The securities may be rated investment grade or high yield. The fund normally expects to maintain an average portfolio duration of three to five years.
Thomas Kwan and Wonnie Chu are the portfolio managers.
The fund will offer class A and institutional class shares. The ticker symbols have not yet been disclosed.
Shareholder fees will consist of a 4.25% maximum sales charge for class A shares and a 1.5% redemption fee for both share classes.
The management fees will be 0.75%. Including other fees and expenses and taking into account an expense reimbursement agreement with the adviser, the total annual fund operating expenses are expected to be 1.14% for class A shares and 0.89% for institutional class shares.
Hong Kong-based Harvest Global Investments Ltd. will serve as the investment adviser.
