Hartford U.S. Government Securities HLS gets Wellington as subadviser

San Diego, Dec. 15 - The Hartford U.S. Government Securities HLS Fund, a series of Hartford HLS Series Fund II, Inc., announced it has appointed Wellington Management Co., LLP as the fund's subadviser as of March 2012.

At that time, Michael F. Garrett will take over as portfolio manager of the fund. Garrett is the senior vice president and fixed-income portfolio manager at Wellington Management and joined the firm in 1999.

Hartford Investment Management Co. will no longer serve as the subadviser, according to a 497 filing from the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Accordingly, the management fees, a percentage of the fund's average daily net assets, will change to 0.45% of the first $500 million, 0.445% of the next $500 million, 0.44% of the next $1.5 billion, 0.435% of the next $2.5 billion, 0.43% of the next $5 billion and 0.42% in excess of $10 billion, annually.

The previous management fees were a flat 0.45% of the fund's assets.

The fund's investment manager remains Simsbury, Conn.-based HL Investment Advisors, LLC.
