Hartford Small/Mid Cap Equity HLS Fund gets Wellington as subadviser

San Diego, March 29 - The board of directors of Hartford HLS Series Fund II, Inc. approved on March 27 a subadvisery agreement with Wellington Management Co., LLC on behalf of the Hartford Small/Mid Cap Equity HLS Fund.
The agreement takes effect June 4, after which time Hartford Investment Management Co. will no longer serve as the fund's subadviser.
David J. Elliott will be the portfolio manager.
The board also approved changes to the fund's fee structure. Specifically, an additional breakpoint will be added to the contractual management fee schedule. Under the agreement, the management fee will be 0.8% of the first $500 million, 0.75% of the next $500 million, 0.7% of the next $2 billion, 0.69% of the next $2 billion, 0.68% of the next $5 billion and 0.67% in excess of $10 billion annually of the fund's average daily net assets.
Simsbury, Conn.-based HL Investment Advisors, LLC serves as the funds' investment adviser.
