Moody's assigns Aa2 to Hartford County, Conn., bonds

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an Aa2 rating and stable outlook to the Hartford County Metropolitan District, Conn.'s $80 million general obligation bonds, issue of 2008.

Sale of the bonds was expected on May 20.

At the same time, Moody's affirmed the Aa2 rating and stable outlook on the district's $95.5 in outstanding parity debt.

The current issue will permanently finance $63.8 million in outstanding bond anticipation notes, and the balance will fund various capital needs.
