New Issue: Harris County, Texas, sells $193.5 million permanent improvement bonds

New York, July 29 – Harris County, Texas, priced $193,505,000 of series 2015A permanent improvement and refunding bonds, according to a pricing sheet.

The bonds (/AAA/AAA) were sold through Barclays.

The bonds are due 2016 to 2038 with a term bond due in 2040. The serial coupons range from 3% to 5%. The 2040 bonds have a 5% coupon priced at 114.425.

Proceeds will be used to finance the costs of constructing new medical and health facilities in the county, including a new forensic facility for the county medical examiner, as well as to refund the county’s series A-1, B and D commercial paper notes.
