Moody's rates ABB bond A2

Moody's Investors Service said it assigned an A2 rating to the CHF 350 million bond maturing November 2018 to be issued by ABB Ltd.

The rating is the same as the one assigned to the CHF 850 million of bonds issued in October 2011.

The outlook is stable.

The rating reflect its strong financial and liquidity profile, its relatively resilient performance throughout the recent economic downturn and an expectation that the group will continue to exhibit credit metrics that are in line with the A2 rating, Moody's said.

The ratings also consider the group's strong business profile and the diversified nature of its operations, the agency said.
