Happy Kids posts $2.58 million March operating profit

Pittsburgh, May 12 - Happy Kids, Inc. reported a $2.58 million operating profit for March on sales of $11.25 million, according to its monthly report filed Thursday with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York.

The net loss for the month was $128,000.

EBIDTA was $608,000.

Cash at the end of March was $30,000.

Happy Kids is a New York-based designer and marketer of children's apparel. Declining sales and being overleveraged for several years led Happy Kids to file for bankruptcy on Jan. 4. Its Chapter 11 case number is 05-10016.
