Hanover Capital defers interest payment on trust preferred securities

Des Moines, March 7 - Hanover Capital Mortgage Holdings, Inc. elected to defer a quarterly interest payment on trust preferred securities that were issued through Hanover Statutory Turst I in March 2005, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Under the indenture, the company has the right to defer payment of interest on the notes for up to one year as long as no event of default has occurred.

The interest payment was originally due on March 31.

The company originally issued $20 million of the securities on March 15, 2005.

Hanover Capital is a mortgage real estate investment trust based in Edison, N.J.
