HSBC plans leveraged market participation notes on Hang Seng China

San Luis Obispo, Calif., Dec. 9 – HSBC USA Inc. plans to price 0% leveraged buffered uncapped market participation securities due Dec. 30, 2019 linked to the Hang Seng China Enterprises index, according to an FWP filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The payout at maturity will be par plus 1.2 times any index gain.

Investors will receive par if the index falls by up to 16% and will lose 1% for every 1% decline beyond the 16% buffer.

HSBC Securities (USA) Inc. is the agent.

The notes will price Dec. 23 and settle Dec. 29.

The Cusip number is 40433BWC8.
