Korea's Hanaro Telecom to start roadshow for benchmark deal next week

New York, Jan. 12 - Hanaro Telecom, Inc. plans to start a roadshow for its up to $500 million benchmark offering of bonds due 2012 (Ba2/BB) on Jan. 17 in Seoul, according to a market source.

The roadshow next moves to Singapore and Los Angeles on Jan. 19, then makes stops in Hong Kong and Boston on Jan. 20, and wraps up in London and New York from Jan. 21 to Jan. 24.

The notes are expected to mature on Feb. 1, 2012 and will be structured as a bullet, according to a Securities and Exchange Commission filing. The subscription date is listed as Jan. 25 and the payment date as Feb. 1.

The issuance will be listed on the Singapore Stock Exchange.

JP Morgan and UBS are running the Rule 144A/Regulation S proposed offering for the senior fixed rate notes.
