Korea's Hanaro Telecom to issue up to $125 million in overseas bonds

New York, March 30 - Hanaro Telecom said it plans to issue up to $125 million in overseas bonds.

The bonds will carry a five- to 10-year maturity and will be structured as a bullet.

Proceeds from the sale will be used for general corporate purposes, including the repayment of the existing debts.

UBS and JP Morgan are running the Rule 144A/Regulation S deal.

The proposed issuance will be listed on Singapore Stock Exchange.

Hanaro Telecom, based in Seoul, is a telecommunication provider.
