Halifax Health, Fla., contemplates new money, refunding bond offering

By Sheri Kasprzak

New York, Jan. 19 – The Halifax Hospital Medical Center of Florida, which operates as Halifax Health, could be hitting the market with a combination new-money and refunding bond sale, the health system said Tuesday.

The prospective deal will be used to fund capital improvements and refund its series 2006A and 2006B-1 and 2006B-2 hospital revenue and refunding bonds.

Pricing of the deal will be contingent upon market conditions and other factors. Assuming the deal is conducted, Halifax said it expects to redeem all or a portion of the series 2006A bonds on June 1 and all or a portion of the 2006B bonds on June 1, 2018.
