Vicis Capital seeks representation on Amacore board

By Lisa Kerner

Charlotte, N.C., Aug. 20 - Amacore Group, Inc. investor Vicis Capital LLC said it intends to nominate Shad Stastney and Chris Phillips to the company's board of directors.

Vicis is the sole holder of Amacore's series I preferred stock, giving it the right to nominate and elect two members to the board, according to a schedule 13D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Stastney is the chief operating officer, head of research and joint founder of Vicis.

Phillips is a Vicis managing director.

It was previously reported that Vicis has had and may continue to have discussions with Amacore's senior management concerning ways in which the company could maximize shareholder value.

Vicis beneficially owns 768,096,250 shares, or 84.36%, of Amacore, the filing noted.

Based in Tampa, Amacore provides health-related membership benefit programs, insurance programs and other solutions to individuals, families and employer groups in the United States.
