Fairfax Financial calls all 4.875% senior notes due 2024

Los Angeles, Dec. 28 – Fairfax Financial Holdings Ltd. announced that wholly owned subsidiary Fairfax (US) Inc. will redeem all of its outstanding 4.875% senior notes due Aug. 13, 2024 on Jan. 29.

The redemption price will be calculated on Jan. 24, according to a press release.

The issuer will also pay accrued interest.

There is $279,305,000 principal amount of the notes currently outstanding.

The notes are guaranteed by Fairfax Financial.

Bank of New York Mellon is the trustee.

Fairfax is a Toronto-based holding company. Its subsidiaries are primarily engaged in property and casualty insurance and reinsurance and associated investment management.
