CDX declines in short session; junk bond market expectedly quiet

Tupelo, Miss., Dec. 22 – The bond markets closed at 2 p.m. ET for the Christmas Day break with trading desks lightly staffed.

The iShares iBoxx High Yield Corporate Bond ETF fell 9 cents, or 0.12%, to $77.47 on Friday.

The CDX High Yield 30 index fell 6 basis points on Friday to 105.8.

The index climbed 67 bps on Thursday, declined 37 bps on Wednesday, improved 17 bps on Tuesday and increased 1 bp on Monday.

The index posted a cumulative gain of 144 bps in the prior week.
