GlaxoSmithKline elects to redeem 2.875% notes due 2022 on May 1

Lexington, Ky., April 14 – GlaxoSmithKline Capital plc will redeem its 2.875% notes due 2022 (ISIN: US377373AJ42) on May 1, according to a notice.
The bonds are guaranteed by parent company GlaxoSmithKline plc.
Payment will be made May 3 which is the next business day following the scheduled redemption date.
Interest will be paid to the redemption date.
The bonds were originally issued April 6, 2004.
Deutsche Bank Trust Co. Americas, as the successor to Law Debenture Trust Co. of New York, is the trustee.
GlaxoSmithKline Capital is a financing arm of the Brentford, England-based pharmaceuticals and consumer health products company.
The global health care company for pharmaceuticals and consumer health products has its U.S. headquarters in Wilmington, Del.
