Bank of Cyprus will redeem tier 2 capital notes Jan. 19

Lexington, Ky., Dec. 20 – Bank of Cyprus PCL will redeem its remaining tier 2 notes (ISIN: XS1551761569) on Jan. 19, according to a notice.

As of Dec. 20 there are €43,343,000 notes outstanding.

The redemption price will be par plus accrued and unpaid interest equaling €92.50 per note.

As previously reported, the bank held a tender offer in April 2021. Noteholders tendered €207 million of the notes at that time.

The company originally issued €250 million of the fixed-rate reset tier 2 capital notes in January 2017.
