Bank of Cyprus decides to call remaining tier 2 capital notes

Chicago, Dec. 1 – Bank of Cyprus PCL has decided to call its remaining €43 million tier 2 notes (ISIN: XS1551761569), according to a notice.

The company originally issued €250 million of the fixed-rate reset tier 2 capital notes in January 2017.

The bank held a tender offer in April 2021. Noteholders tendered €207 million of the notes at that time.

The bank has the option to redeem the remaining notes on Jan. 19, 2022. The board of directors has resolved to exercise that option.

Based in Nicosia, Cyprus, the Bank of Cyprus is a banking and financial services group.
