NXP Semiconductors to use new notes to redeem 3.875% notes due 2022

Lexington, Ky., Nov. 15 – NXP Semiconductors NV has announced it will use a portion of the proceeds from a new note offering to redeem the $1 billion outstanding 3.875% senior notes due 2022, including all premiums, accrued interest and costs and expenses related to the redemption, according to a release.

The remainder of the proceeds will be used for general corporate purposes including capital expenditures or equity buyback transactions.

NXP is an Eindhoven, Netherlands, maker of chips for secure connectivity.
