AngloGold Ashanti to redeem all outstanding 5 1/8% notes due 2022

Columbus, Ohio, Oct. 27 – South Africa’s AngloGold Ashanti Holdings plc will fully redeem its outstanding 5 1/8% notes due 2022 (CUSIP: 03512TAC5) on Nov. 26, according to a company news release.

The notes are guaranteed by AngloGold Ashanti Ltd.

The redemption price will be the greater of par and the sum of the present values of the remaining scheduled payments of principal and interest on the notes discounted to the redemption date on a semiannual basis at the Treasury rate, plus 50 basis points. In each case, the company will also pay accrued interest of $16.37 per $1,000 principal amount.

Bank of New York Mellon is the paying agent.

AngloGold Ashanti is a Johannesburg-based gold producer.
