Newell Brands prices redemption of 3¾% notes due 2021 from two series

Concord, N.H., Sept. 24 – Newell Brands Inc. has released the price at which it will redeem its 3¾% notes due 2021 issued Nov. 19, 2014 and 3¾% senior notes due 2021 issued July 14, 2014, referred to as the Jarden notes, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The price, calculated in accordance with the terms of the notes, which shall be equal to 100.03, or €1,000.30 per €1,000 principal amount of the notes.

As previously reported, the company said Aug. 25 that it planned to redeem €271,851,000 of the notes that were issued in November 2014 and €28,125,000 of the Jarden notes that were issued in July 2014.

The company plans to redeem the notes on Sept. 28 at par plus a make-whole premium.

Wells Fargo Bank NA is trustee of the Jarden notes, and U.S. Bank NA is trustee of the other series.
