Brazil’s Braskem to redeem 5 3/8% notes early with make-whole premium

Chicago, July 19 – Braskem Finance Ltd. announced the upcoming full early redemption of its 5 3/8% notes due 2022 (Cusips: 10553YAE5, G1315RAG6) in a 6-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Braskem SA is the guarantor of the issue, which was originally issued on May 2, 2012.

The notes will be redeemed on July 27 at par plus a make-whole premium using a Treasury rate plus 50 basis points. Interest will also be paid to the redemption date.

Bank of New York Mellon is the paying agent.

Braskem is a Sao Paulo-based petrochemical company. The financing arm is based in the Cayman Islands.
