Mexico’s TV Azteca to redeem certificados bursatiles due 2022

New York, Feb. 9 – TV Azteca SAB de CV plans to redeem all Ps. 1.2 billion of its Ps. 4 billion certificados bursatiles maturing 2022 as part of its strategy to maintain financial and operational viability, according to a news release.

TV Azteca is also considering reorganizing its debt in foreign currency by initiating talks with holders of its $400 million notes due 2024.

The company said it will defer the payment of the coupon due in February, expecting to reach an agreement that responds to its situation.

Based in Mexico City, TV Azteca is a producer of Spanish-language television programming.
