Philippines’ EastWest Banking gets OK to call lower tier 2 notes

Los Angeles, Nov. 12 – EastWest Banking Corp. said its board of directors approved the early redemption of its PHP 5 billion lower tier 2 subordinated notes.

The notes have an optional redemption date of Jan. 4.

The early redemption is still subject to regulatory approval, the issuer said.

EastWest Banking is based in Taguig City, Philippines.
