Morning Commentary: U.S. Bancorp preferreds gain; Goldman Sachs higher with market

San Antonio, Sept. 27 – U.S. Bancorp’s 5.5% series K non-cumulative perpetual preferred stock gained early Thursday, leading secondary trading.

The preferreds (NYSE: USBPrP) were up 8 cents to $25.04 with about 89,000 shares trading.

Elsewhere, the Goldman Sachs Group, Inc.’s series D non-cumulative preferred stock also improved.

The preferreds (NYSE: GSPrD) were up 3 cents to $22.50 on volume of about 68,000 shares.

The Wells Fargo Hybrid & Preferred Securities Financial index was up 0.06% in early trading, adding to a 0.09% gain on Wednesday.
