SM Energy redeems remaining $10.56 million 6˝% notes at 102.167

Morgantown, W.Va., Sept. 11 – SM Energy Co. redeemed all $10,561,000 of its outstanding 6˝% senior notes due 2023 on Sept. 7, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes were redeemed at 102.167 plus accrued interest to but excluding the redemption date.

The company paid the redemption price with cash on hand.

The $10,561,000 principal amount redeemed was all of the 2023 notes that remained outstanding following SM Energy’s tender offer for any and all of its $394,985,000 of 2023 notes and up to $85 million of its $561,796,000 of 6 1/8% senior notes due 2022.

SM Energy is a Denver-based energy company focused on exploration and production of crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids in onshore fields in North America.
