California defeases $337.33 million of general obligation bonds

Norfolk, Va., Nov. 26 – The State of California defeased $337.33 million of its general obligation bonds, according to a notice.
The following will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest on Aug. 1, 2015:
• $3,265,000 of 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2021;
• $3,745,000 of 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2022;
• $75.89 million of 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2031;
• $162,885,000 of 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2033; and
• $91,545,000 of 5% bonds due Aug. 1, 2035.
The Treasurer of the State of California is the escrow agent.
