Devon Energy issues make-whole call for $1.9 billion of notes

Chicago, Oct. 14 – Devon Energy Corp. plans to redeem three series of notes on Nov. 13, according to an 8-K filed Friday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The company will redeem the following notes at par plus accrued interest to the redemption date as well as a make-whole premium:

• $500 million principal amount of outstanding 2.4% senior notes due 2016;

• $650 million principal amount of outstanding 1.2% senior notes due 2016; and

• $750 million principal amount of outstanding 1.875% senior notes due 2017.

UMB Bank, NA is the trustee.
