Charleston Educational, S.C., defeases 2006 installment purchase bonds

Norfolk, Va., Oct. 7 – The Charleston Educational Excellence Financing Corp., S.C., defeased some of its series 2006 installment purchase revenue bonds issued for the Charleston County School District, according to a notice.

The following will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest on Dec. 1, 2016:

• $7,455,000 of 5% bonds due Dec. 1, 2019;

• $7,835,000 of 5% bonds due Dec. 1, 2020;

• $8.24 million of 5% bonds due Dec. 1, 2021;

• $8.66 million of 5% bonds due Dec. 1, 2022;

• $9,105,000 of 5% bonds due Dec. 1, 2023;

• $9.57 million of 5% bonds due Dec. 1, 2024;

• $10.06 million of 5% bonds due Dec. 1, 2025;

• $10.58 million of 5% bonds due Dec. 1, 2026;

• $11.12 million of 5% bonds due Dec. 1, 2027;

• $11.67 million of 4.75% bonds due Dec. 1, 2028; and

• $38.7 million of 5% bonds due Dec. 1, 2031.
