Massachusetts HEFA defeases series N, O MIT revenue bonds

Norfolk, Va., Sept. 30 – The Massachusetts Health and Educational Facilities Authority defeased its series N and series O revenue bonds issued for the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, according to two notices.
The following series N bonds will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest on July 1, 2017:
• $50 million of 5% bonds due July 1, 2019; and
• $225,195,000 of 5% bonds due July 1, 2038.
The following series O bonds will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest on July 1, 2018:
• $23,485,000 of 5% bonds due July 1, 2026;
• $47,975,000 of 5.75% bonds due July 1, 2026;
• $42 million of 5.5% bonds due July 1, 2036; and
• $65 million of 6% bonds due July 1, 2036.
The Bank of New York Mellon Trust Co., NA is the trustee.
