AIG to redeem all $1.98 billion of outstanding 8.25% notes due 2018

Norfolk, Va., Sept. 26 – American International Group, Inc. will redeem all $1,982,806,000 of its outstanding 8.25% notes due 2018 on Oct. 27, according to an 8-K filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The notes will be redeemed at a price that is yet to be determined plus accrued interest up to, but excluding, the redemption date.

The notes are part of the Direct Investment book and will be repaid using cash allocated to the book.

The Bank of New York Mellon is the trustee.

The insurance company is based in New York City.
