General Cable to redeem floaters due 2015 via new issue proceeds

Chicago, Sept. 22 – General Cable Corp. said it plans to redeem its senior floating rate notes due 2015 and to repay debt under its senior secured revolving credit facility.

The company will use proceeds from its $250 million principal amount issue of senior notes due 2019, according to a company press release.

Proceeds also will be used for general corporate purposes.

General Cable is a Highland Heights, Ky.-based developer, designer, manufacturer, marketer and distributor of copper, aluminum, and fiber optic wire and cable products.
