District of Columbia defeases $152.47 million of series 2006 COPs

Norfolk, Va., Sept. 19 – The District of Columbia defeased $152.47 million of its series 2006 certificates of participation lessee of property, according to a notice.

The certificates, which are due Jan. 1, 2015 through 2026, will be redeemed at par plus accrued interest on Jan. 1, 2016.

Wilmington Trust, NA is the defeasance escrow agent.
