City of El Paso defeases 2005 tax and revenue certificates, 2006 G.O.s

Norfolk, Va., Sept. 12 – The City of El Paso defeased its series 2005 combination tax and revenue certificates of obligation and series 2006 general obligation bonds, according to a Rule 15c2-12 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

The city will redeem $11.23 million of 2006 certificates due Aug. 15, 2016 through 2026 and $43,905,000 of 2006 G.O. bonds due Aug. 15, 2016 through 2029 and 2031.

The bonds will be redeemed at par on Aug. 15, 2015.
